In the first nine months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 13.7 percent decrease in its finished steel product output to 18.885 million mt, a 13.5 percent decrease in its crude steel output to 21.495 million mt, and a 9.9 percent decline in its pig iron production to 19.736 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.
The country's production of metallurgical coke in the given period declined by 16 percent year on year to 11.18 million mt.
In September alone, Ukraine produced 1.802 million mt of crude steel - up 2.1 percent, 1.545 million of finished steel products - down 1.2 percent, and 1.533 million mt of pig iron - down 3.3 percent, all on month-on-month basis
